According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), "faster than average" job growth over the next decade seems certain for careers in health care, IT, teaching, home-care services, and accounting. If you're considering a career change for long-term durability, or enrolling in a college degree program to prepare for a high-growth industry, consider training for one of the 5 hottest professions.

A Healthy Career

In 2004, health care professions comprised America's largest industry, and the BLS predicts that the profession will add 3.6 million new jobs by 2014--a 19% overall growth. The BLS reports that most health care jobs will require graduation from two and four-year college degree programs.

Getting in on IT
