- Technology
Want to be a part of the fastest growing industry in the world? The IT industry is predicted to grow 70% in the next six years. Computer science, information technology, database administration, and networking are great areas in which to earn a bachelor's degree and then launch an IT career.
- Healthcare
Around 3.5 million jobs are predicted to be created in healthcare by 2012. Nursing certification (RN or BN), a medical assisting certificate, a degree in radiology or health practitioning, and even medical schools are all great ideas for participating in this 30% industry growth.
- Teaching
Almost 4 million new teachers will be needed by 2014. Degree and credential joint programs have become popular. Credentials are also offered independently too (even in part online).
- Paralegal Work
A study by the prominent staffing firm, Robert Half, showed that attorneys are planning to hire more paralegals over the next year. A paralegal certificate could be a perfect career choice with a little discipline and a passion for the growing legal industry.
- Elderly Care
The over-65 population is predicted to comprise 20% of the entire U.S. population by 2030. Along with good healthcare, the need for elderly care will increase alongside this number. Degrees or certificates in physical therapy, nursing, or caregiving are all promising starts.
